Following on from the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless success, the Sennheiser CX 400BT has been announced. The true wireless earbuds come in a black or white color and slot in below the company’s flagship Momentum earbuds.
With a more square design philosophy, the CX 400BT True Wireless earbuds feature 7 millimeter drivers and support Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity as well as SBC, AAC and aptX codecs. One thing to note, however, is that the CX 400BT will not be supporting active noise cancelling technology which can be found on the Momentums. This may not be such a deal-breaker as the technology has yet to rival those implemented in full-sized headphones. The earbuds do however enable users to tweak EQ settings as well as touch controls to natural preferences.
Priced to compete with the Apple AirPods, the $200 CX 400BT True Wireless seem an affordable choice from the German audio brand. The earbuds will be available from September 15th.
