High-end earbud designs have often fell by the wayside in recent years. FiiO plan to change this with the release of the FiiO EM5 earbuds which contain large 14.2 mm beryllium drivers for deep, extensive and textured bass.
The exterior design is said to be inspired by the ‘Chinese Dragon’ with 3D printing technology used to create a seamless design. With FiiO being a company which strive for innovation, the EM5 aims to be the world’s first earbud featuring beryllium drivers, the world’s first earbud with swappable plugs and the world’s first in employing 3D printing in an open earbud design.
The FiiO EM5 will retail for $299.99 and feature a 4-stranded 120 core Litz sterling silver cable.
